Payment of invoices Matching and allocation of payments to the correct supplier account Ensuring relevant approvals obtained before payment Ensure all invoices comply with VAT requirements. Supplier recons are done Following up and solving all reconciliation differences Review the list of outstanding invoices and follow up with suppliers regarding payment of invoices and / or queries Ensures that invoices are paid per agreed terms Liaise with the Bookkeeper to ensure cash is available prior to payment of creditors Ensuring accruals are raised where invoices not received on time Assist Bookkeeper regarding any payment queries Transporter recon tracking Stock weighbridge tracking Perform bank reconciliation Perform credit card reconciliation Perform petty cash reconciliation Ensure that the information on the supplier master file is always accurate Ensuring transporters have valid tax clearance documents Verify banking details before payments are made to ensure the accuracy thereof Assist with supplier onboarding check and procedures Assist with credit applications for terms with suppliers Follow up with suppliers for latest BEE certificates On time capturing of invoices and chase suppliers where not yet received Liaise with Operations team for certain information Ensure matching of Purchase order to invoice and GRV before payment EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Matric Certificate / Diploma from recognised College / University Credit Control experience - 3 years KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM FUNCTIONS: Knowledge of ERP systems(Sage beneficial) Understand banking systems Ability to communicate well with suppliers Able to meet deadlines Teamwork Time Management Must be able to adapt to changes Reliable, honest and problem-solving skills; Communication, read and write in English; Work well with people; Positive and helpful Attitude Microsoft and excel
