Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Country HR Manager to provide strategic and operational HR support across the assigned country.
  • The successful candidate will serve as a strategic HR Business Partner, aligning people strategies with business objectives while overseeing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, HR compliance, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management & HR Operations:

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through employee engagement, development, retention, and exit.
  • Lead recruitment activities for assigned positions, from sourcing and selection through offer management and onboarding.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving employee experience and reducing attrition.
  • Support employee query resolution and grievance management.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and induction of new employees.
  • Monitor HR processes and ensure timely and accurate HR documentation and records.
  • Manage HR budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date HR data and HRMS records.

Talent Management, Performance & Learning:

  • Drive the performance management cycle, including goal setting, KRA communication, mid-year and annual appraisals.
  • Ensure timely completion of probation and performance review processes.
  • Support managers in developing and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Participate in talent management and succession initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development activities.
  • Communicate available learning programmes and initiatives to employees.
  • Monitor compliance with approved training and development plans.

HR Business Partnering & Employee Communication:

  • Partner with country leadership and business teams to understand workforce requirements and provide effective HR solutions.
  • Interpret and implement HR policies and procedures consistently across the organisation.
  • Promote workplace ethics, discipline, company values, and appropriate employee conduct.
  • Develop and coordinate employee communication initiatives in collaboration with leadership and Corporate HR.
  • Support employee surveys, feedback exercises, and other HR projects.
  • Develop and implement country-specific employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
  • Support the deployment and review of broader organisational rewards and recognition programmes.

Statutory Compliance & Employee Relations:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, labour regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation required for statutory compliance.
  • Manage outsourced employees/associates, including recruitment, attendance, payroll coordination, and compliance.
  • Maintain effective employee relations and address workplace concerns appropriately.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities and labour representatives where required.
  • Manage relationships with workforce unions where applicable to support smooth business operations.

Key Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in Business HR, Regional HR, or a similar HR leadership role.
  • Strong experience across HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies, practices, labour laws, and statutory compliance.
  • Proven experience in employee relations and grievance management.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and learning & development.
  • Experience managing outsourced employees and HR operations will be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a multi-location or geographically distributed workforce is desirable.
