Cost Accountant - Manufacturing | Pinetown Talent Connected Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced Cost Accountant for an established manufacturing company based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will manage manufacturing costing, analyse production and inventory variances, support financial reporting and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Manage manufacturing costing, cost analysis and reporting. Maintain and review standard costs across products and production activities. Monitor production, material, labour and overhead variances. Investigate costing discrepancies and provide clear findings to management. Manage inventory costing, valuations and related reconciliations. Prepare budgets, forecasts and detailed cost reports. Analyse production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support month-end financial reporting and management accounting. Prepare journals and reconciliations relating to inventory and cost of sales. Maintain accurate costing records and effective internal cost controls. Work closely with Production, Procurement, Stores and Finance. Provide costing information to support operational and commercial decisions. Assist with audits and ensure supporting documentation is accurate and complete. Minimum Requirements: Completed CIMA qualification - non-negotiable. Full CIMA professional membership, with ACMA/CGMA designation - mandatory. Proven cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment - essential. Practical working experience with SAP or SYSPRO - mandatory. Strong knowledge of standard costing, production variances and inventory valuation. Experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to operational stakeholders.
