Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate complex corporate agreement and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant securities law and regulations.
  • Advice on corporate governance matters, including board responsibilities and SEC filings.
  • Support M&A processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on intellectual property rights and tax advisory related to transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to clients.
  • Manage clients board meetings and provide ongoing corporate secretarial support for electricity infrastructure and supply agreement, as well as power purchase agreements.

Qualifications

  • LLB or equivalent degree, with excellent academic credentials. A master's degree or membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ISCAN) will be an added advantage.
  • 4-6 years of experience in corporate law, preferably with the exposure to securities, governance,
  • intellectual property, and tax matters.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A passion for sustainability and technology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
