Job Title: Core RC & Heavy-Duty Mechanic

Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Core RC & Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our operations in Nasarawa State.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of RC drilling equipment, heavy-duty vehicles, and associated machinery to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs of RC drilling rigs and heavy-duty equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns.
Maintain and repair compressors, hydraulic systems, pumps, engines, and transmission systems.
Carry out maintenance and repairs on excavators, loaders, bulldozers, trucks, and other heavy-duty machinery.
Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify defects and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with approved schedules.
Repair and replace faulty mechanical components, parts, and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
Monitor the condition of equipment and recommend necessary spare parts and maintenance requirements.
Ensure proper handling and use of workshop tools and maintenance equipment.
Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and safe maintenance practices.
Report major mechanical faults and maintenance challenges to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
OND, HND, or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repairs.
Experience in RC drilling equipment and mining operations is a strong advantage.
Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission systems, compressors, and heavy-duty machinery.
Practical experience maintaining excavators, loaders, bulldozers, trucks, and other industrial equipment.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical repair skills.
Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
Location Requirement:
The position is based in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
Candidates must either be resident in Nasarawa State or surrounding areas, or be willing and available to relocate.
