Job Summary

  • Redeemer's Health Village (RHV) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive eye care services and support the continued growth of our specialist clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye diseases and visual disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and interpret ophthalmic investigations.
  • Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the scope of practice.
  • Manage outpatient, inpatient, and emergency ophthalmic cases.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to provide integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
  • Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Fellowship in Ophthalmology (FWACS, FMCOphth, or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification).
  • Current licence to practise medicine.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-specialisation experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
