UMAA is seeking to employ a qualified, experienced, and motivated Compressor Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This is an Obuasi-based fixed-term contract position with a competitive work roster. Compressor Technician
Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of air compressors and associated compressed-air systems supporting underground mining operations, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with company safety procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on surface and underground air compressors and associated equipment.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults affecting compressor performance and availability.

Inspect, service and replace filters, lubricants, belts, valves, seals, hoses and other compressor components as required.

Inspect and maintain air receivers, dryers, coolers, piping and associated compressed-air distribution systems.

Conduct functional tests, commissioning checks and post-maintenance inspections in accordance with OEM requirements.

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Must have practical knowledge of rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, pneumatic systems, compressor controls and preventive maintenance practices.

Must be familiar with applicable Ghanaian mining safety requirements and safe isolation procedures for pressurised equipment.
