Commercial Manager - Media & Advertising | Durban Talent Connected Staffing Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead regional commercial strategy and revenue growth within the media and advertising sector. The successful candidate will oversee sales performance, identify new business opportunities, develop key client relationships and lead the regional sales team towards achieving sustainable growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the regional commercial and sales strategy. Lead, manage and develop the regional sales team. Drive profitable revenue growth across existing and new business channels. Identify and pursue new business and market opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and commercial partners. Establish sales targets and monitor performance against agreed objectives. Develop account growth plans for strategically important clients. Oversee commercial proposals, presentations and negotiations. Monitor the regional sales pipeline and improve conversion rates. Analyse revenue performance, market trends and competitor activity. Prepare commercial forecasts, budgets and performance reports. Work with internal teams to ensure effective campaign delivery and client service. Protect commercial margins while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. Support contract negotiations and ensure commercial agreements align with business objectives. Represent the organisation professionally at client meetings and industry events. Minimum Requirements: Relevant qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Sales or a related field. Proven commercial management or senior sales leadership experience. Strong track record of revenue growth and new business development. Experience managing sales teams and performance targets. Strong key account and client relationship management experience. Commercially astute, with a good understanding of pricing, margins and profitability. Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills. Strong analytical, forecasting and reporting ability. Ability to lead effectively in a target-driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant CRM or sales management systems. Advantageous Experience: Commercial or sales leadership experience within media, advertising, broadcasting or a related sector.
