The Commercial & Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing revenue-generating opportunities. You will build relationships with corporate brands, agencies, schools, media organisations, foundations and other strategic partners, and turn the company's content, audience, products and experiences into commercial partnerships. This is primarily a sales and business development role. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they have actually built relationships, pitched opportunities and closed deals.
- Develop and manage the brand's commercial pipeline and sales opportunities.
- Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors, brand partners and strategic partners.
- Develop proposals, pitches and partnership packages tailored to prospective partners.
- Secure sponsorships, branded content opportunities, school partnerships and other commercial deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for recurring and long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support agreements through to completion.
- Work closely with the brand's creative and operations teams to ensure partnerships can be delivered effectively.
- Track prospects, proposals, negotiations, closed deals and revenue through a structured sales pipeline.
- Provide regular commercial reports on pipeline, targets, conversions and revenue.
- Represent the brand at relevant meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of the brand's overall commercial strategy.
- Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in sales, business development, commercial partnerships, sponsorships, account management or a related field.
- Demonstrable understanding and/or experience in closing deals with corporate brands or Organizations.
- Strong existing relationships with relevant corporate, marketing, advertising, media or entertainment stakeholders.
- Experience developing and presenting commercial proposals.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
- Commercially minded, target-driven and confident asking for the sale.
- Able to understand a business proposition and translate it into something valuable to potential partners.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing a sales pipeline.
- Genuine understanding of what the brand is building and the opportunity within Muslim children's media.
- Experience in media, entertainment, children's content, advertising, publishing, events, digital media or the wider creative industries will be an advantage.
- Experience working with major brands, advertising agencies, broadcasters, schools, foundations or consumer businesses is also desirable.
Success in this role means building a strong commercial pipeline and converting that pipeline into real revenue for the brand.
