Requirements:

• Grade 10 ABET or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic communication and interpersonal skills( verbal and written). Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
• Able to work under pressure and adhere to safety policy. eg wearing PPE, risk assessment, Wet floors, safe use of equipment, report hazards etc.
• Infection prevention and control, e.g. standard precautions, the use of chemicals, color coding e.tc. Terminal cleaning process

Duties:

• Ensure cleanliness of offices , corridors, elevators, stairs, storage areas, rails and boardrooms. Responsible for cleaning material and equipment allocated.
• Cleaning of basins, microwaves, fridges, countertops, chairs, tables, sinks and all surfaces including floors. Responsible for emptying, cleaning of dustbins and replacing waste bins liners. Collection of waste, segregation of waste according to waste management policy. Ensure the safekeeping of cleaning materials.
• Check functionality and complete inspection checklist of equipment. Report broken cleaning equipment. Cleaning of equipment after use and store them dry at allocated area. Request cleaning material and keep safe data sheets of the chemicals.
