Job Position: Civil Engineer (Junior and Mid-Level)

Job Location: Lagos

Summary

• A reputable construction and civil engineering company in Lagos seeks to recruit suitably qualified and competent Civil Engineers (Junior and Mid-Level).
• Successful candidates will be involved in the planning, coordination, supervision and execution of civil engineering and construction projects, in accordance with approved specifications, quality standards, project schedules and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and support the planning, coordination and execution of civil engineering and construction activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project documents, ensuring compliance with approved designs and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to work programmes, quality requirements and HSE standards.
• Coordinate and supervise construction personnel, subcontractors and site activities, as applicable to the level of appointment.
• Monitor project progress, identify technical and operational challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, material requirements and other relevant technical documentation.
• Ensure proper utilisation of construction materials, equipment and other project resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng/B.Sc/B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognised and accredited institution.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
• COREN registration will be an added advantage, particularly for Mid-Level candidates.

Experience:

• Candidates will be considered for placement based on their qualifications, experience and demonstrated competence.

Core Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction principles, methods and materials.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Knowledge of construction site operations, quality control and HSE requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Project will be an added advantage.
