Chief Medical Director At Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre

About the Role

The Chief Medical Director will provide overall clinical and administrative leadership of LECC, ensuring the delivery of world-class cardiovascular care while driving quality improvement, clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and the strategic development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership and direction across all LECC facilities
• Develop and implement clinical strategies aligned with the organisation\'s vision and growth objectives
• Oversee clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement programmes
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HEFAMAA, MDCN, and other relevant bodies
• Lead, develop, and support the medical team including recruitment, appraisal, and professional development
• Serve as the organisation\'s key clinical representative to the board, external partners, HMOs, and regulatory bodies
• Drive research, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development across the medical team
• Work in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer on operational and strategic matters
• Champion patient-centred care and a culture of clinical excellence throughout the organisation

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full and current registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
• Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College equivalent (FMCP, FWACS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification clinical experience with at least 5 years in a senior medical leadership role
• Proven track record of clinical governance and quality improvement leadership
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian healthcare regulatory environment
• Experience in cardiovascular medicine or a related specialist field is a significant advantage
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
