The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership across Incel Group, ensuring sound financial management, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability and informed business decision-making.
The CFO will oversee the Group's financial planning, accounting, treasury, budgeting, reporting, taxation, financial controls, risk management and investment-related financial activities.
The role will also serve as a key strategic adviser to Executive Management, providing timely financial insights to support growth, profitability, operational efficiency and long-term organisational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
Provide strategic financial advice to the Executive Management and Board.
Lead financial planning, forecasting and long-term financial modelling.
Evaluate the financial implications of new business opportunities, investments and expansion initiatives.
Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Performance:
Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Monitor actual performance against approved budgets and financial targets.
Analyse revenue, expenditure, margins, cash flow and profitability across business units.
Develop and monitor financial KPIs and management dashboards.
Identify cost optimisation and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Provide regular management reports on financial performance.
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records across the Group.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Ensure appropriate reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, payables and other balance sheet accounts.
Strengthen financial reporting standards, procedures and controls across all business units.
Treasury & Cash Management:
Provide strategic oversight of cash flow management and liquidity.
Monitor the Group's banking relationships and financing arrangements.
Ensure effective management of currency exposures and international payments.
Establish appropriate controls over cash, bank transactions and payment approvals.
Ensure timely settlement of critical business obligations and financial commitments.
Internal Controls, Risk & Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust financial controls across the Group.
Work closely with Internal Control, Internal Audit, HR, Operations and other functions to strengthen governance.
Identify financial, operational and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian tax, financial reporting, regulatory and corporate requirements.
Support the continuous improvement of financial processes in line with the Company's QMS and governance framework.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
Oversee corporate tax planning and statutory tax obligations.
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and payments.
Liaise with tax advisers, auditors and relevant regulatory authorities where required.
Monitor changes in applicable tax and financial regulations and advise Management accordingly.
Audit & Governance:
Lead the relationship with external auditors and coordinate statutory audits.
Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of agreed recommendations.
Provide financial information and analysis required for Management and Board meetings.
Maintain appropriate documentation and financial records to support transparency and accountability.
Business Partnership & Commercial Support:
Partner with business unit heads to improve financial performance and accountability.
Evaluate pricing, margins, contracts and commercial arrangements.
Provide financial analysis for new services, projects and business expansion.
Promote financial awareness and accountability across the organisation.
Challenge financial assumptions constructively and provide evidence-based recommendations to Management.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, develop and manage the Finance & Accounts function.
Establish clear performance objectives and accountability within the Finance team.
Build the team's technical capabilities and promote continuous professional development.
Foster collaboration between Finance and other departments.

Qualifications & Professional Requirements
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Minimum 8years' relevant post-qualification experience, with significant experience in senior financial management.
Demonstrated experience managing Finance & Accounts at a senior/executive level.
Desirable:
MBA, MSc Finance, or another relevant postgraduate qualification.
Experience within a diversified group, tourism/travel, trading, investment, hospitality or other service-oriented business.
Experience managing multi-entity or international financial operations.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian taxation, financial reporting and corporate compliance.
