  • Fairtex Group is seeking a highly competent, experienced, and results driven Chief Accounting Officer to lead and oversee our accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, effective financial controls, statutory and regulatory compliance, and timely financial reporting to support sound business decisions.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Must be a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
  • 5 to 7 years' relevant post qualification experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and data management
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and applicable Nigerian financial reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, organisational, leadership, and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure
