We are looking for a Cashier.
Responsibilities :
Financial and Transaction Management
Process all forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and room charges) accurately and efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system (e.g., Opera, Micros).
Maintain an assigned cash float, ensuring its security and accountability at all times.
Conduct daily cash reconciliation/closing reports, verifying all sales receipts, vouchers, and cash to balance the register with zero discrepancies.
Prepare and drop off daily receipts and corresponding documentation to the General Cashier or Finance Department, through cash drop box in the presence of duty manager and cash drop register should be signed by both of you (Cashier and Duty Manager)
Ensure accurate billing for guests, including proper application of discounts, promotional offers, and taxes.
Guest Service and Communication
Warmly welcome and acknowledge all guests with a professional demeanor in line with Marriott service standards.
Answer guest inquiries regarding bills, payments, menu offerings, and general hotel information.
Proactively address and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment-related concerns to ensure a positive and swift resolution.
Process foreign currency exchange and currency conversions accurately as required.
Operational and Team Support
Set up and organize the cashier workstation with necessary supplies, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and operational at all times.
Collaborate effectively with service staff (Waiters, Bartenders) and the Front Desk team to ensure smooth service flow and accurate order/billing transfer.
Adhere strictly to all company and hotel cash handling, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Report any system malfunctions, suspected fraudulent activity, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
