Job Summary:
We are looking for a well-connected, proactive, and locally experienced Carrier Business and Relations Manager to support our growing operations in Kenya and East Africa. This role is crucial for helping us navigate and integrate into the East Africa Carrier/Operator ecosystem by establishing relationships with key stakeholders, especially local telecom operators, government bodies, and industry associations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local telecom operators;
- Act as a liaison between our Kenya office and key industry stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, partners, and local business communities;
- Support business development efforts by arranging introductions, meetings, and follow-ups with potential partners or clients;
- Represent the company at local events, workshops, or conferences related to the telecom or ICT industry
- Help localize our communication and positioning strategy based on cultural and industry context;
- Provide insight and advice on navigating the local business environment, telecom landscape, and stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong existing network in the Kenya、Tanzania、Uganda and other East Africa area telecom industries;
- 5+ years of experience in carrier wholesale, stakeholder management, business development, or external relations;
- Familiarity with local telecom players, regulations, and business practices;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Proactive, professional, and culturally aware.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience working with or inside telecom operators
- Background in ICT, telecom, or tech-related sectors
- Previous experience supporting foreign companies entering the East Africa market
