Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and install wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, and partitions.
  • Conduct routine inspections across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify repair needs.
  • Repair damaged furniture and fittings to preserve hotel aesthetics and standards.
  • Install and replace locks, door frames, shelves, skirting, and structural woodwork.
  • Assist with hotel renovation and refurbishment projects.
  • Complete all carpentry tasks safely, efficiently, and to high- quality standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Respond promptly to inter-departmental maintenance requests.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Keep accurate records of completed maintenance tasks and materials used.
  • Collaborate effectively with the broader Engineering and Maintenance team.

Requirements

  • Certificate, Craft Certificate, Trade Test, or Diploma in Carpentry, Joinery, Wood Technology, or Building Construction.
  • Formal training from a recognized technical institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of practical carpentry experience (preferably in a hotel, commercial facility, or similar environment).
  • Solid understanding of carpentry tools, equipment, materials, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and technical measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and physical fitness for manual duties.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team- collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities Project Planning & Execution Take ownership in planning and supervising civil engineering projects across tea plantations and factories, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
