Key Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Reporting Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualisations. Build and maintain semantic models and reporting datasets. Develop KPI reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities. Optimise Power BI models, DAX calculations, and report performance. Develop paginated reports where required. Analytics & Insights Analyse data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions. Define, monitor, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs). Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Data Engineering & Data Management Develop and maintain PySpark notebooks within Microsoft Fabric. Build reporting-ready datasets through data transformation, validation, and cleansing. Create scalable data models to support enterprise reporting and analytics. Develop and optimise complex SQL queries. Work with Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and enterprise data environments. Data Governance Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions. Support data governance and data quality initiatives. Maintain documentation for datasets, reports, and business rules. Minimum Requirements Degree, Diploma, or relevant certification in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 4 years' experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics. Advanced experience with: Microsoft Fabric Power BI SQL PySpark Python Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory Proven experience developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and enterprise reporting solutions. Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing principles. Experience using Git and version control tools. Advantageous Experience Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures. CI/CD and DataOps practices. Dimensional modelling (Kimball methodology). Financial Services or Insurance industry exposure. Forecasting, predictive analytics, or machine learning concepts. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
