Job Summary

  • The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, supporting proposal development, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship management, communication, and commercial skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively across various industries and locations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to support company growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients, projects, and strategic partnerships.
  • Generate leads and convert opportunities into business engagements.
  • Support the preparation and submission of proposals, tenders, expressions of interest, and other business development documentation.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and market trends.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, partners, regulatory bodies, and industry representatives.
  • Represent PMSEC at meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and support client retention initiatives.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify and cultivate partnerships that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Support negotiations and commercial discussions with prospective clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and opportunities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on business development performance and market activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management on growth strategies and emerging business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, economic developments, and competitor activities.

Collaboration & Internal Support

  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and project teams to support project execution and client engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Support the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, Project Sales, Marketing, Client Relations, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and securing new business.
  • Experience within the energy, engineering, consulting, construction, or project-based sectors will be an added advantage.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to prepare professional proposals, presentations, and commercial documents.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel and stay in another State or Country for extended periods, including several weeks at a time, to support business development activities, client engagements, and project requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
