Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve the company's revenue, growth, and market expansion objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across relevant industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and commercial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, decision-makers, procurement teams, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other strategic stakeholders.

  • Develop existing client accounts through cross-selling, upselling, repeat business, strategic account management, and long-term commercial relationships.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities, market trends, customer needs, and potential new markets for the company.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality technical and commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, and business pitches to prospective and existing clients.
  • Monitor and report on business development performance, including sales revenue, new accounts, pipeline value, conversion rates, tenders, and achievement of agreed targets.
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings, site visits, industry events, exhibitions, networking forums, and other business development engagements.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related technical field.
  • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering will be highly preferred.
  • 10 - 15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in technical sales, business development, engineering, industrial equipment, manufacturing, construction, or engineering solutions.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and achieving commercial/sales targets.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B business development and key account management.
  • Experience in tendering, quotations, negotiations, and commercial proposals.
  • Strong existing industry networks and client relationships will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and deliver measurable results.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
