Job Description

  • We're committed to exceeding expectations and providing South Africans with the exceptional financial services they deserve. By offering streamlined processes, a personal touch, and unwavering transparency, we're redefining the status quo.
  • We are hiring a Business Development Manager to build and grow our partnership channel with independent financial advisors (IFAs) and wealth managers. You will bring an existing advisory network, turn those relationships into a steady flow of referred clients who move money offshore, and own the revenue they generate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source, pitch, and sign financial advisors and wealth managers as referral partners.
  • Activate your existing advisory network from day one and convert it into referred, revenue-generating clients.
  • Take over an existing book of advisory partners and clients, re-engage them and get them trading.
  • Close referred clients and spot further opportunities, such as a client's business forex needs.
  • Manage and grow a book of active partners through regular check-ins, joint client meetings and updates on their referrals.
  • Deliver against monthly, quarterly and annual targets for new partners, referred clients and revenue.
  • Feed market and partner insights back to the team to sharpen the proposition.

REQUIREMENTS:

What You'll Need

  • An existing advisory network or experience in the advisory space: You already have relationships with IFAs and wealth managers, or you have worked in or sold into that space and know how it runs.
  • A strong sales attitude: You are hungry, resilient and comfortable prospecting, following up and closing. Formal business development experience is not required.
  • Financial services knowledge: A solid understanding of financial products and how the advisory model works.
  • Energised by in-person connections: We are remote-first, but this is a face-to-face role. You need to be confident and comfortable travelling to meet advisors and clients, running in-person presentations, and building relationships over meetings and coffees.

Advantageous

  • Exposure to SARB exchange control regulations, foreign investment allowances and approval for international transfer (AIT) applications.
  • Experience selling to IFAs, for example in: tax emigration, financial emigration and tax residency advisory; offshore investment platforms and LISPs; asset management, unit trusts and fund distribution; life insurance and employee benefits (broker consultant roles); retirement funds and annuities; fiduciary, wills and estate planning; or private banking.
  • RE5 qualification and FAIS fit and proper compliance.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: you act like an owner of your channel, spot what could work better and bring ideas to improve how we sell, not just hit the number.

Who You Are

  • Sales-driven and target-driven: You love the chase, own your number and get energy from closing.
  • Commercially sharp: You understand margins, revenue and deal value, and you know which partners are worth your time.
  • A natural relationship builder: You earn the trust of advisors quickly and keep relationships warm for the long term.
  • A self-starter: You take ownership, follow up relentlessly and need little supervision.
  • A confident communicator: You present well one-on-one and to rooms of advisors, and you write clearly.
  • Ethical and compliance-minded: You are comfortable working in a regulated environment.
  • Hungry to grow in a fast-moving fintech with high standards and real accountability.
