Job role Our client, a retail and corporate gifting industry is seeking a highly aggressive, results-driven Business Development Manager (B2B) with a proven ability to proactively initiate, negotiate, and close high-stakes, complex corporate deals. This is a pure "hunter" role. You will not be waiting for inbound leads; you will be proactively targeting, engaging, and closing high-value corporate accounts (Banks, Telcos, FMCGs, and Multinationals). You will be selling a dual-portfolio: the premium corporate gifting packages (Milestone, Onboarding, and Retirement bundles) and the internal innovative corporate gifting software. If you thrive on cold outreach, love navigating complex corporate hierarchies to reach decision-makers (HR Directors, Heads of Procurement) and are as comfortable selling a tangible luxury product as you are demoing a SaaS platform, this role is for you. You will be responsible for building out and mentoring a high-performing sales team, driving collective success while maintaining your own individual revenue targets. Responsibilities Outbound Prospecting & Deal Closure (The Hunt): Outbound Prospecting: Build and maintain a robust, high-value sales pipeline from scratch through cold-calling, networking, LinkedIn outreach, and direct field visits across the Lagos metropolis (Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Ikeja). Deal Closure: Identify and pitch directly to key corporate decision-makers (HR, Admin, Procurement, and C-Suite), demonstrating the tenacity to independently navigate and close complex sales cycles. Revenue Targets: Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue targets for both SaaS subscriptions and corporate gifting contracts. Dual-Portfolio Selling (Products & SaaS): Corporate Gifting: Pitch and close high-volume corporate gifting contracts (e.g., end-of-year gifting, employee milestone packages, client appreciation bundles). Internal (SaaS): Conduct live software demonstrations of the platform, articulating its value proposition in automating and managing corporate gifting budgets and logistics. Pipeline & Relationship Management: Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, utilizing the internal CRM tools to track all leads, activities, and conversion metrics. Relationship Management: Transition closed accounts smoothly to the account management/fulfillment teams while maintaining high-level relationship oversight for future upsells. Strategic Partnership: Develop executive-level relationships to position Celebrations as a strategic partner, not just a vendor. Team Leadership: Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and provide strategic direction to a team of sales executives to drive performance and achieve collective sales targets. Strategic Market Execution: Strategic Execution: Execute the Corporate Sales Strategy, specifically targeting large-scale distributions. Market Intelligence: Provide on-the-ground market intelligence and feedback to the executive team regarding competitor pricing, product demands, and SaaS feature requests. Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of proven, quota-carrying B2B sales experience. Executive Presence: Proven experience in managing and nurturing private, C-suite level accounts. SaaS Savvy: Previous experience selling software/SaaS products, with a strong comfort level conducting technical product demos. The "Hunter" Mindset: A demonstrable track record of independently generating leads, overcoming objections, and closing high-ticket B2B deals. Corporate Network: An existing network of HR and Procurement professionals within the Lagos corporate sector is a massive advantage. Tech Literacy: Proficiency in modern CRM software (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce) and presentation tools. Must have skills: Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
