Summary

  • We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Lead to drive the adoption of our cooperative society management software.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting cooperative societies, thrift societies, unions, and related organisations into clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Discuss and agree on commercial terms such as payment plans, contract duration, volume packages, and onboarding arrangements within company guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth handover to the implementation and support teams after closing.
  • Work closely with the product, support, and technical teams to ensure successful client onboarding.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Provide market feedback to support continuous improvement of the product and sales approach.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and present the benefits of the software to decision-makers.
  • Develop and deliver tailored proposals that address the specific needs of each organisation.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships that support renewals and referrals.
  • Identify and target cooperative societies, thrift societies, credit unions, and similar organisations.
  • Research industry trends and potential clients to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Generate leads through networking events, association meetings, referrals, and online platforms.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or software/SaaS sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling to cooperative societies, financial institutions, or community-based organisations is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong closing and commercial discussion skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
