As a Business Analyst Lead, you will take ownership of a strategic business domain, driving product direction and execution from concept through to implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and business analysts to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities: Own the strategic direction, roadmap, and delivery of a designated business domain. Define priorities and make informed trade-offs based on business value, customer impact, technical complexity, and available capacity. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for business growth, operational improvement, and enhanced customer experiences. Analyse customer journeys, operational processes, and systems to uncover improvement opportunities. Investigate business challenges, analyse data, and identify root causes to develop practical solutions. Manage dependencies across multiple teams and systems while aligning initiatives with broader business objectives. Collaborate with business analysts and software development teams to design, implement, and validate solutions. Lead, mentor, and develop Business Analysts while fostering a high-performance culture. Monitor product and solution performance, measuring outcomes against defined success metrics. Build strong stakeholder relationships and facilitate open communication across teams and regions. Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, simplification, and automation initiatives. Contribute to strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Relevant degree or tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Consulting, Technology, Operations, or a related field. Proven experience delivering products, projects, or business initiatives from concept through implementation. Experience defining product roadmaps and prioritising initiatives. Exposure to working closely with software development and technology teams. Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or managing Business Analysts or cross-functional teams. Experience using data and analytics to inform decision-making and prioritisation. Exposure to Financial Services, FinTech, Lending, Banking, or Credit environments would be advantageous. Experience working across multiple African markets would be beneficial. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. SQL proficiency will be highly advantageous. Experience measuring business outcomes and product performance. Understanding of systems, business processes, and operational workflows. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. Strong commercial acumen and decision-making ability.
