Makueni County Public Service Board is established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. The Board was inaugurated on the 5th of August, 2013 as a body corporate with perpetual succession and seal capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. It is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members and a Secretary all appointed by the Governo Budget Officer – JG-K For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Commerce (Finance option), Business Management or Finance, Economics, Business Administration plus Certified Public Accountant CPA-K or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Duties and Responsibilities This is the entry and training grade for the Budget Officers Cadre. An officer at this level will work under a more senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities at this level shall include: – Gathering, compiling and analyzing information on commitment and expenditure trends and; Initiating appropriate corrective action as may be required; compiling information required on budget monitoring and expenditure control including expenditures of salaries and allowances; and initial processing of re-allocations within the budgets.
