Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of the marketing strategy for the company in line with objectives
  • With the Support the Category Manager, prepare the Annual Country & Brand Plans for the Marketing Function.
  • Lead responsibility for brand management and corporate identity including portfolio management, product renovation and reengineering.
  • Monitor brand profitability & propose corrective measures to meet the profitability goals incl price increase, product renovation etc.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Provide periodic information to measure volume and share growth against the plan and pro-actively recommend revisions
  • Maintain market intelligence of competitor's activities, their dealer, consumer and customer promotions, new launches and recommend line of action with regular field visits and close collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Drive innovation agenda based on changing consumer trends & agreed long-term plans, with a close collaboration with P&T and Global Brand Team.
  • Work closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches
  • Manage accurately the invoicing/PO process

Requirements

  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian media landscape and consumers.
  • Experience of having developed new & effective communication materials including TV copies.
  • Able to collaborate efficiently with internal and external teams.
  • Good communication skills, both written and orally.
  • Experience working with & successfully managing 3rd party agencies / strategic partners.
  • Budgetary & cost control management.
  • Competitive intelligence & insights.
  • Strong Multi project Project Management skills and experience.
  • Good experience in driving new product developments.
