BOILERMAKER (EE)Area: Boksburg, GautengIndustry: Mining / Manufacturing Salary: Market Related Position Type: Limited Duration ContractJob PurposeTo manufacture, assemble, install, maintain and repair metal structures, equipment and components in a mining or manufacturing environment, ensuring that all work is completed according to technical specifications, quality standards and occupational health and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
Measure, mark out, cut, shape and prepare metal plates, sections and structural components.
Fabricate, assemble and fit metal structures, frames, chutes, hoppers, tanks and other equipment as required.
Perform welding, grinding and related metalworking activities within the scope of the position.
Repair, maintain and modify metal structures, machinery components and equipment.
Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, structural integrity and compliance with specifications.
Identify defective components and report any maintenance or repair requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
Comply with company procedures, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable site safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
Recognised Boilermaker trade qualification or relevant trade test certificate.
Proven experience working as a qualified Boilermaker.
Previous experience in a mining and/or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of metal fabrication, fitting, cutting, shaping and welding processes.
Competent in the safe use of relevant tools and equipment.
Good attention to detail and the ability to produce quality workmanship.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
