The Auto-Mechanical Technician with Mechatronics at TruckSoft Logistics is to support the maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and reliability of heavy duty articulated vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and vehicle maintenance history.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and applicable vehicle regulations.
Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide technical support where required.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
Use vehicle diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment to identify faults.
Troubleshoot engine management, transmission, braking, ABS/EBS, lighting, sensors, and other vehicle control systems.
Perform servicing, repairs, component replacement, adjustments, and system testing.
Support the maintenance of automated and mechatronic systems used in fleet operations and workshops.
Required Qualifications
HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, Automotive Technician or similar role.
Practical experience working with commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, or fleet operations.
Strong knowledge of truck brands commonly used in Nigeria (e.g.,Sino ,Howo).
Experience with fleet maintenance in a logistics or transport company is an advantage
Good reporting and documentation skills.
Experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous: Electronic control units (ECUs), CAN-bus systems,Vehicle tracking and telematics systems, Sensors and actuators, ABS/EBS systems
