The Audio & Production Coordinator is responsible for the school's technical sound and audio requirements, including the operation, technical readiness and maintenance of sound systems across school events and performance spaces.
The Audio & Production Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, technical readiness, maintenance, organization, safety, cleanliness and presentation of the school's auditorium, associated backstage and other productions spaces. This role provides technical audio support for school plays, musicals, concerts,
assemblies, chapel services, sporting events, ceremonies and school events and therefore requires formal technical sound training, the ability to operate a sound console, and a well-developed ear for tone, balance, clarity and overall excellent sound quality.
The Audio & Production Coordinator also oversees the organization and operation of school event and performance spaces, usually at the Auditorium, sometimes at the Eagletorium and Amphitheater. This role works closely with teachers, students, production leaders and production teams to ensure that school events are professionally supported to a high standard. These responsibilities are integral to the fulfilment of the school's mission to help each student develop their God-given gifts for Christ-like service in the world community.

Duties
Sound & Lighting: Manage sound and lighting for all school events and productions, including plays, concerts, assemblies, chapels and presentations, ensuring proper audio to support live streaming.
will operate, set up, test, maintain and troubleshoot sound and lighting equipment - this requires a strong ear for tone, balance, clarity (overall sound quality) and appropriate lighting techniques.
Production Support: Work closely with directors, teachers and students to meet the artistic and technical sound and lighting requirements of events and productions. Ensure that all technical equipment and production spaces are fully prepared and operational before rehearsals and events.
Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain, organize, label and catalogue sound equipment, instruments, costumes, props and other production materials. Identify and arrange the repair, replacement or disposal of damaged, obsolete or unusable items.
Auditorium & Events Facilities: Ensure the auditorium and other school performance spaces, as well as backstage, costume and prop areas, are clean, safe, organized and functional. Conduct regular inspections including checks of lighting, monitors, pathways, seating, floors and other facilities, and arrange for necessary repairs.
Booking management of Auditorium & events Facilities: Oversee community requests to use the auditorium and events facilities, giving priority to calendared school events.
Event Readiness & Troubleshooting: Conduct pre-event checks to ensure sound, lighting, seating, backstage areas, props and other essential facilities are ready, and respond promptly to technical or operational problems during productions. Liaise with production leads on ticketing and front of house management.
Student support and development: As a school-based role, the post holder may work with students involved in chapel services, presentations, theatre, concerts etc. Where appropriate, s/he will provide students participating in school events and productions with guidance on the safe and responsible use of audio-visual equipment and production spaces, and support student operation of audio equipment within agreed limits and supervisory arrangements.
Staff Supervision and Coordination: Supervise the Sound Technician when required, allocating duty schedule, monitoring standards and ensuring a high level of cleanliness, organization, care and professionalism. Coordinate across departments, with Activities, Facilities, and IT, as needed to support the production of events.

Qualifications
Formal training (a relevant diploma or degree from a recognized institution) or substantial experience in
Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Music Technology or a related field.
At least two years' relevant work experience. Experience in a school will be a distinct advantage.
A well-developed ear for tone, clarity, balance and sound quality.
Practical experience of operating live sound consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers etc.
Experience maintaining inventories, equipment records and organised storage.
Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate technical support for events, work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments.
Good working knowledge of IT including projector set-up, PowerPoint presentations
Basic understanding of electrical and equipment safety.
Knowledge of work hazards and safety practices.
Demonstrate respect for diversity of culture and an appreciation for the diversity of the body of Christ.
Effective communication in English, both orally and in writing.
