Role Requirements Qualifications Matric (Grade 12). BCom in Accounting, an Accounting Diploma or a relevant accounting qualification. Additional accounting or bookkeeping coursework will be advantageous. Experience 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience. Practical cost and management accounting experience, preferably within a retail or retail property environment. Strong hands-on experience in general ledger, bank, creditors and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and budgets. Experience investigating and resolving account discrepancies. Experience supervising or coordinating finance administration functions will be advantageous. Technical Requirements Sound knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and financial controls. Strong reconciliation skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately. Good understanding of cost accounting, management accounting and budget monitoring. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience using MDA or a similar accounting/property management system will be advantageous. Good numerical ability and the ability to work accurately with financial data.
