Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the introduction and promotion of Bosak MFB, Bosak Trade Loan (BTL) and other products to prospective customers.
  • Supervise and manage all Business Managers and Loan Officers within the Area Office.
  • Monitor business performance, provide operational support and drive achievement of business and loan portfolio targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with market associations, business groups and customers.
  • Conduct and supervise customer and guarantor verification, including cross-guarantee arrangements within groups.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate remittance of cash collections into the appropriate bank accounts.
  • Apply the 5 Cs of Lending: Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral and Conditions in loan assessment and monitoring.
  • Ensure proper payment and documentation of equity contributions and upfront fees.
  • Monitor weekly loan repayment collections, passbook/register updates and issuance of tellers.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, monitoring and supervision of Area Office activities.
  • Assess and interpret customers' accounts and transaction history on the system.
  • Ensure effective group management, loan monitoring and repayment performance.
  • Identify portfolio risks, follow up on delinquent accounts and support effective recovery efforts.

What We're Looking For

  • Mandatory: Previous experience in a Microfinance Bank (MFB).
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance lending and group lending operations.
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage Loan Officers/Business Managers.
  • Good understanding of loan appraisal, collections, portfolio monitoring, and recovery.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
  • Target-driven with the ability to manage a high-performing field team.
  • Candidates with strong knowledge of the Ikorodu market will be an added advantage.
