Archive Officer At Amaiden Energy Nigeria

Main Function

• To manage and maintain company records and archive documents in line with Records and Information Management policies, ensuring proper classification, indexing, storage, retrieval, security, confidentiality, retention, and disposal of records.

Responsibilities

• Provide Records and Information Management support to entities within the District.
• Maintain document referentials and ensure compliance with company Records and Information Management policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Information Management Liaisons and Entity Document Controllers on records classification, storage, audits, investigations, and organizational changes.
• Identify and safeguard vital, historical, and other critical records, including maintaining appropriate backup copies.
• Receive, sort, index, shelve, retrieve, and manage archive documents accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure the security, confidentiality, preservation, and proper environmental conditions of archived records.
• Train and guide staff on records identification, classification, storage, and management requirements.
• Coordinate the transportation and management of backup tapes and offsite storage records in accordance with company procedures.
• Support records retention, review, deletion, and destruction activities in line with approved retention policies.
• Maintain accurate archive registers and indexes and ensure timely retrieval of requested documents.
• Comply with company HSE requirements and report incidents, unsafe acts, or conditions promptly

Job Requirements

• HND/Bachelor's Degree in Library Science, Information Management, Records Management, or a Related Discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in records, document control, archives, or information management.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of renewable energy operations is an added advantage.
