Key Responsibilities BIM, Revit and Specification Create and maintain Revit families for architectural hardware products Integrate product data into BIM models and develop hardware schedules and specification documentation Prepare project-specific hardware schedules and technical specifications Help architects and consultants implement hardware solutions in Revit projects Ensure compliance with SANS standards, building and fire regulations, and accessibility requirements BIM Coordination Participate in BIM coordination meetings with architectural, structural and MEP teams Identify design clashes affecting hardware installations and resolve technical issues before construction Sales and Business Development Identify and track project opportunities from concept to completion Engage with architects, interior designers, developers, quantity surveyors and contractors Drive project specifications toward company products and support the sales team in securing orders Achieve annual sales and specification targets Networking and Product Promotion Present CPD sessions and technical workshops Demonstrate BIM-ready product solutions and promote Revit libraries to the market Represent the company at industry exhibitions and networking events Build and maintain long-term relationships with key specifiers and decision-makers Reporting Maintain CRM, project databases and specification registers Report on sales forecasts and project pipelines Continuously improve BIM content and technical processes Minimum Requirements Qualification in Architectural Technology Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, including Revit family creation Knowledge of SANS standards, building regulations, and fire and accessibility requirements Ability to prepare hardware schedules and technical specifications Excellent presentation and communication skills Commercially minded and target-driven Advantageous Experience in architectural hardware, ironmongery or building products Specification sales or business development experience An existing network within the architectural and construction industry Personal Attributes Outgoing, confident personality with a natural ability to build networks Comfortable presenting to professional audiences Self-motivated, proactive and relationship-driven Strong attention to technical detail
