An established organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analytics & AI Specialist to develop AI models, implement data analytics solutions and integrate analytics into internal audit processes, risk management and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build and implement AI models and data analytics solutions to improve audit processes and risk analysis.
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks and business opportunities.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and data models using business intelligence tools.
Manage data preparation, ETL processes, data warehousing and SQL queries.
Integrate analytics solutions into internal audit engagements and business processes.
Identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve controls and operational performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric and a degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Informatics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field.
Minimum 6 years' work experience, including at least 3 years in data or business analytics and 1 year in AI model development.
Strong experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, DAX, IDEA, R and/or Python.
Experience in ETL, data preparation, data modelling, data visualisation and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven project management skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls and audit processes.
Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Reinsurance knowledge would be advantageous.
Underwriting experience would be a significant advantage.
Experience applying AI and analytics in an audit environment would be beneficial.
