Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor price variances within the East Africa region.
Obtain competitive quotes and recommend/award orders to suppliers with best prices.
Communicate with end users to confirm requirements and provide status updates.
Ensure user requirements are confirmed via evaluation forms or email.
Follow up with suppliers for timely responses and deliveries.
Provide information for purchase order approvals, including quote comparisons and delivery periods.
Inform users of new products.
Arrange periodic meetings with regional institutions.
Negotiate with suppliers.
Assist Capex Team with daily purchasing processes.
Consolidate import orders for the regional network.
Prepare weekly/periodic enquiry status and price variance reports.
Compile quarterly savings reports and other required reports.
Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain or related business field.
Membership in CIPS, CILT, or KISM.
Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in purchasing/warehouse functions.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Trustworthy and dependable.
