A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Accounting and Reporting Deputy to support the Head of Accounting & Reporting across a complex multi-entity Shared Services environment. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep technical accounting expertise, strong financial control experience, and the ability to engage confidently with auditors and senior stakeholders.Requirements
NQF Level 7 qualification in Accounting or Finance
CA(SA) qualification is mandatory
Minimum 7+ years' post-qualification experience
Proven experience in Shared Services environments
Strong IFRS and technical accounting expertise
Mandatory SAP and finance automation tool experience
Experience managing audits, financial reporting, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
Strong financial control, balance sheet assurance, and intercompany reconciliation experience
Oversee monthly, annual, and statutory reporting processes
Lead annual financial statement preparation and audit engagements
Partner with external auditors and ensure audit readiness
Drive financial governance, controls, and reporting quality
Support complex accounting activities, including IFRS compliance, lease accounting, and intercompany transactions
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail and process understanding
Ability to influence and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to operate independently
