Accountant

JOB ROLE: ACCOUNTANT

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

We are hiring an experienced Accountant to join the finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards, and hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, including VAT, WHT, CIT, and other statutory obligations.
• Manage general ledger activities and month-end/quarter-end closing processes.
• Use SAP S/4HANA for accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and other finance operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis exercises.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation and oversee internal accounting controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.
• Proven experience working in a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience in the construction industry will be a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
