Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Abuja

Job Description

• The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting Batter Group's financial control, reporting, reconciliation, inventory accounting and day-to-day financial operations.
• The role will work closely with Management, Inventory, Production, Procurement and Administration to ensure that operational transactions are properly recorded and financially controlled.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Record production-related expenditure.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor factory expenses.
• Support inventory reconciliation.
• Track operational costs.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Support budgeting and cash-flow monitoring.
• Maintain financial documentation.
• Support audit requirements.
• Monitor financial discrepancies.
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are followed.
• Provide management with timely financial information.

Key Performance Indicators - KPI Target

• Monthly financial reporting: 100% on schedule
• Bank reconciliation: 100% completed monthly
• Financial documentation accuracy: More than 98%
• Inventory reconciliation: 100% monthly
• Financial discrepancies: Less than 2%
• Audit documentation availability: 100%
• Timely processing of approved transactions: More than 95%
• Management financial reports: 100% timely.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good numerical and analytical ability.
• Experience with accounting software.

Preferred:

• FMCG, bakery, manufacturing or distribution experience.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost control.

Salary Expectation

N250,000 monthly.
