About the Role

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the organization's financial reporting and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
  • Prepare and review invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Track expenses and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Support payroll processing and statutory payments where required.
  • Monitor budgets and identify financial discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, banks, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Must reside in Oshodi or its environs and be able to commute conveniently to the workplace.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Good understanding of bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Professional accounting certification or part-qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.
