About the Role

Solar Depot Nig Ltd is seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and results-driven accountant to join our team in Lagos.

The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, monitor expenditure, and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.

- Monitor company income, expenditure, cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

- Process invoices, receipts, and authorised payments.

- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control.

- Prepare payroll schedules and support applicable statutory deductions and remittances.

- Ensure proper documentation for audits and tax compliance.

- Monitor inventory-related accounting records and reconcile stock values where required.

- Provide reliable financial information to management to support business decisions.

Requirements

- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

- Good knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and taxation.

- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

- High integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism.

- Experience in trading, distribution, retail, or inventory-based businesses is an advantage.
