An infrastructure group with operations across Southern Africa is looking for a confident Accountant to join its small finance team. You'll take responsibility for your own portfolio of entities, gain exposure to cross-border operations and help shape how the team uses systems, data and automation. There's variety here: bringing month-end together, keeping audits moving, interpreting financial information and spotting where a better process could make a real difference. Your ideas will have a practical place to land. You'll take the lead on: Accounting for allocated entities, from daily processing and reconciliations through to month-end and management reporting Preparing or supporting financial statements and coordinating external audits Supporting tax compliance, cash management and forecasting Strengthening controls and improving reporting through technology and automation We'd love to meet someone with: A SAIPA, AGA(SA) or CIMA designation Around two years' post-articles experience in commerce Practical financial statement preparation experience and working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs Experience coordinating audits, working with VAT and using SARS eFiling Advanced Excel skills and an interest in systems, data and process improvement Xero experience is preferred. Logistics or cross-border exposure would be an advantage, although candidates from other industries are welcome. You'll suit this team if you're analytical, proactive and comfortable speaking up. Someone who follows through, asks thoughtful questions and has the confidence to keep things moving. The role requires some travel, with a January 2027 start envisaged.
