A well-established company based in Durban North is seeking a suitably qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team.
The ideal candidate should hold a BCom degree with Completed Articles and have 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate allocation of transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
B.Com degree in Accounting and Articles
Minimum of three years' relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
