Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and qualified Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounting operations, prepare financial reports, ensure full tax compliance, and support our annual audit process. You will deliver accurate financial information that supports effective business decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the organisation\'s accounting system
Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and perform regular reconciliations
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and resolve outstanding items
Compute and remit monthly PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, pension, and NSITF contributions within statutory deadlines
Maintain the fixed asset register and compute depreciation in line with company policy
Coordinate and support the annual external audit, preparing all required audit schedules
Prepare quarterly budget-versus-actual variance analyses and report key findings to management
Liaise with banks, FIRS, and other regulatory bodies on routine financial andcompliance matters
Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
ICAN Associate member or active ICAN/ACCA student with significant examinations completed
Minimum of 4 -7 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured organization
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws including CITA, PITA, and VAT Act
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelling
Thorough understanding of FIRS as applicable to financial statement preparation
Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously without compromising quality
