Job Title: Account Officer

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Account Officer to join our team in Arepo.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly within the cable industry, will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support budget preparation, cost analysis, and financial planning activities.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Assist with payroll processing and statutory remittances where required.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial and accounting issues.
Support internal and external audit activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
B.Sc./ HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–5 years of accounting or finance experience (experience in a manufacturing company is an added advantage).
Professional certification (ICAN, ATS, ACCA, or part qualification) will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is desirable.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be between 22 to 35 years old.
Location Requirement:
Applicants must reside in Arepo, Ogun State, or within a reasonable commuting distance of the company's Arepo facility. Candidates who meet this requirement will be preferred.
