Account Officer

Your Job Description includes the following :

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
• Prepare periodic report for the Head of Finance and Accounts
• Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month
• Petty cash management and disbursement
• Monitor financial transactions and reports
• Understand Ledgers
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage
• Perform partial checks of the posting process
• Complete tax forms
• Process accounts receivable/ payable and handle payroll in a timely mannerRecord day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, ANAN, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience in a healthcare organization is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
