Job Summary

  • We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage the financial health of the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, while providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and other financial regulatory obligations.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk for the organization.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making and business strategy.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and processes.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring efficient departmental operations.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for financial efficiency.
  • Ensure timely renewal and compliance with professional and regulatory obligations relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities Vendor Onboarding & Activation Manage the onboarding of new vehicle vendors onto the Gbovo marketplace. Ensure all required vendor documentation, agreements, business information, and compliance requirements are completed. Train vendors on Gbovo's marketplace, financing products, referral process, and operating procedures. Ensure vendors upload the agreed minimum number of eligible vehicles.
