Diagnose flat batteries and provide jumpstarts.
Deliver emergency fuel or essential motoring fluids (coolant, brake fluid).
Change flat tires using member spares or inflate underpressured tires safely.
Perform basic onroad diagnostics using portable OBDII scanners.
Resolve minor mechanical issues (engine overheating, loose belts, wiring disconnections).
Stabilize accident/breakdown scenes with safety cones/reflectors and report to insurance.
Assess vehicles for towing/recovery and log requests via dispatch app.
Maintain assigned response motorbikes, ensuring service, fuel, cleanliness and stocked emergency tools.
Operate motorcycles in compliance with NTSA guidelines, wearing full defensive gear.Key Qualifications & Requirements
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Driving License: Class A (Motorcycles) & Class B.
Certification in Motor Vehicle Mechanics/Electrical or Diploma/Certificate in Automotive Engineering (NITA, Kenya Polytechnic, AA Technical Institute).
At least 2 years’ practical experience in automotive repairs or diagnostics.
Rescue officer experience an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Nairobi highways, shortcuts and bypasses; GPS and dispatch software skills essential.
Excellent customer care, etiquette and communication skills.
