WorldVeg seeks to employ Drivers. These are six positions, respectively based in Cte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal (two per country). These positions will contribute to a new five-year program in Benin, Cte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal.

The Driver will ensure the safe transportation of project personnel, visitors, and goods, maintain project vehicles in good working condition, and comply with organizational safety and security procedures. The Driver will report directly to the program’s Administrative Officer and work closely with staff, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for staff, consultants, visitors, and project activities.

Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, fueled, and properly maintained.

Maintain accurate vehicle records, including logbooks, fuel consumption records, maintenance records, and transport-related reports.

Follow organizational safety, security, and transport policies, and promptly report accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues.

Support administrative and logistics activities, including the delivery of documents and supplies, and assistance during meetings, workshops, and field missions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum secondary school diploma (Baccalaureate) or equivalent qualification.

At least 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with NGOs, international organizations, or donor-funded projects.

Valid driver’s license for the relevant vehicle category, with a minimum of 5 years of licensed driving experience.

Successful completion of the organization’s internal driving assessment/practical driving test.

Good knowledge of local road networks, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices.

Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural and remote locations, including extended field assignments when required.

Fluency in French (in Senegal and Cte d’Ivoire) or English (in Ghana) and at least one national language (e.g., Wolof, Mandingue, Pulaar, Serer, or other relevant local languages); English is an asset.

Defensive driving and/or First Aid certification is an asset.

Demonstrated integrity, reliability, good communication skills, basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
